Updates from Nationals
November 18, 2013
Visit the new OESP website at www.thinkOESP.org. We’ve finally launched the new website and we’d like you to check it out and let us know what you think. Our new site along with the integrated association management software gives us the opportunity to keep the site fresh. When a new member joins, it is instantaneous. Their record goes into our database. Members in good standing (those that paid their 2013 dues) can go into the member section and we encourage them to modify their own records — add a photo, birthdates, whatever pertinent information you would like to add. Any issues? Let us know.
2014 Road Shows
As soon as you visit the new site you will find that there is a major focus on our new Road Shows. So check it out. Next, we’ll upload directories of participants for each event. Know a manufacturer who should be included in this venue? Let us know.
2014 Road Shows will begin May 12-13, at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Montville, Conn. we will host two full days of education, exploration of products and services, networking and a little bit of fun. Then we’ll do it again in Sept. 22-23 in Gettysburg, Pa. The new website has been unveiled. After you log on take a look at the separate section that focuses on the Road Shows. There is a directory of those that have already committed to the Road Shows online. That way, for those of you who purchase other products that aren’t represented, you can nudge that manufacturer or supplier to get in front of our members and guests at these shows. They are affordable, minimal time commitment and great exposure for them. Visit www.naohsm.org or www.thinkOESP.org for more information.
2014 Educational Opportunities
Late this month, OESP’s Education committee will be getting together to formalize what education we’d like to offer in 2014. For starters, the Professional Development Program is coming back, so stay tuned for that information. We’ll be offering mini sessions at the Road Shows so you and your boss can “test drive” the management program.
Visit http://oesp-boston-southeast.org. The Chapter’s new web site is fully operational. The Chapter’s Secretary is in the process of familiarizing himself on how to make changes and update the site. National helped to fund the project. ServicEdge has been an outstanding partner and coach to assist us with this project.
