May Meeting Minutes

President Mullaley called the meeting to order at 6:40 PM. There were 19 members and guests in attendance. President John Mullaley led those in attendance in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance led by Joe Niccoli (a.k.a. NUNZIO) followed by the customary Round Robin.
President Mullaley asked for a motion to accept the minutes of the March meeting. Chapter Secretary, Dave Bessette stated the motion needs to reflect the minutes as mailed in the Newsletter. Nelson Northern made a motion to accept the minutes. His motion was seconded by Jim Denham. The motion carried. Joe Niccoli, Chapter Treasurer, submitted the Treasurer’s Report. A motion to accept the Report as read was made by John LeVangie and seconded by Larry Pearsall. The motion carried.

Committee Reports:

Education-Nothing at this time
Awards: Larry Pearsall, Chairman of the Awards Committee distributed nomination forms. He asked that members fill out the form with the name of a member who is worthy to be named “Member of the Year of the Boston-Southeast Chapter. The name of the member will be announced at the October meeting. Larry would like the forms returned to him before or at the next meeting. The forms will be emailed, as well. If you are in need of a ballot contact Dave Bessette. He will forward a copy to you.
Finance: Nothing at this time.
By Laws: Dave Bessette reported that the updated By- Laws are being reviewed by an attorney. Following the review the Chapter Secretary will make any necessary changes and present the By-Laws to the membership at the October or November meeting. Following the meeting the Secretary will mail a copy of the By Laws to each member. After a minimum notice of thirty days the membership will have a chance to discuss the By Laws during a meeting. Any changes will be made. A vote to ratify the By-Laws could occur during a regular monthly meeting.

Membership: Nothing at this time


Special Projects: President Mullaley asked Jim Denham to explore a Holiday Theme function for the December meeting


Golf: Everything is in place for the Golf Outing. Sponsorships and golfers are ready for a fun filled day. Let’s hope for good weather.


Scholarships: John LeVangie reported that the Chapter is partnering with National to present a $5000.00 scholarship at the Annual Convention and Trade Show.


Old Business: John Mullaley has secured a day and time, Wednesday, September 11th for any member to visit Energy Efficiency Solutions LLC, the manufacturer of the BURNER BOOSTER All are welcome. The Chapter Secretary will send out reminders to the members.


New Business: Nothing at this time.


Our speaker (I apologize for not having the speaker’s name) for the evening was a representative of Sweeney, Rogers and Geraghty who gave an informative presentation regarding the Cool Smart Rebate Program for qualifying Mini Split A/C systems.
